The PEIMTA has the following Standards of Entry:
- Applicants must have successfully completed
2200 hours of Massage Therapy education at an Association approved school of Massage Therapy, or equivalent.
- Applicants
must have successfully completed the College Board Exams in a province where Massage Therapy is legislated.
- Applicants
must have a valid CPR certificate.
Please Note: In response to MTANS’s recent exam requirement,
the PEIMTA has developed the following policy:
Applicants who have successfully completed an
exam that is approved by the college of a legislated province or territory will be accepted for membership in the PEIMTA,
provided all other criteria have been met.
This means that the MTANS OSCE and MCQ
exams will be accepted, provided the CMTO continues its endorsement.
If an applicant
has met all entrance requirements except the legislated board exam, the Board will consider registration given the following
criteria:
- 2200 hours of Massage Therapy education at an Association approved school of Massage Therapy,
or equivalent.
- Active membership in good standing in a member association of the CMTA for the previous three years.
- Up
to date CEUs according to our provincial standards.
